1. Introduction
By engaging YRF Accountants (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. We provide accounting, taxation, bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, and advisory services to small businesses, individuals, contractors, landlords, and startups in Bolton and Manchester.
2. Scope of Services
We deliver the specific services described in your engagement letter. Standard offerings include:
- Bookkeeping & accounts preparation
- Personal & corporation tax returns
- VAT registration, returns & compliance
- Payroll processing
- Strategic tax planning and business advisory
Additional services are subject to separate agreements or engagement letters.
3. Client Responsibilities
You must:
- Provide timely, accurate financial records and information.
- Promptly respond to requests and queries.
- Comply with UK law and HMRC requirements.
Failure to do so may result in delays, supply issues, or additional fees.
4. Our Responsibilities
We will:
- Perform services with reasonable skill and diligence.
- Act under ethical standards (e.g., IFA);
- Keep client information confidential, except as required by law.
- Notify you of relevant tax or regulatory changes.
5. Fees & Payment
Fees are agreed in advance and may be fixed or hourly, plus VAT. Invoices are due within 14 days unless otherwise stated. Late payments may incur interest (per UK law) and service suspension.
6. Limitation of Liability
Our total liability is limited to the greater of:
- 1.5 × the fees paid for the specific service; or
- £50,000
We exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses.
7. Confidentiality & Data Protection
All client data is confidential and handled under UK GDPR. Our Privacy Notice (site footer) explains data collection, storage and usage. Data may be shared with subcontractors or HMRC when required.
8. Intellectual Property
Documents and methodologies we produce remain our IP unless otherwise agreed. Clients receive a licence for their internal use only.
9. Amendments & Additional Services
Any extra services (e.g., HMRC enquiries, IR35, VAT new schemes) require written agreement. Updated Terms will be communicated—continuing services implies acceptance.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate with 30 days’ written notice. You’ll only be liable for work completed up to termination. Outstanding fees remain payable.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by English law. Disputes will be resolved in courts near your address (Bolton or Manchester).
